How we work

The action plan, tree by tree.

One of our customers went looking for an arborist "interested in long term care of my trees and not just a 'hack and stack.'" That's the whole idea. Here's what the plan looks like on your property.

Step 1 — Assess

Every job starts with a free in-person estimate. We look at each tree individually — its health, its structure, what it's doing for the property — and write the plan around what that tree actually needs.

Step 2 — Prune

Reveal beauty. Don't manufacture it.

Our pruning redirects a tree's growth energy instead of fighting it — opening the canopy so air and light get through, reducing wind and snow breakage, shaping for the long term. Overgrown doesn't mean over-cut: the shade stays, the health improves.

Step 3 — Remove, only when it's right

Removal is the last page of the plan.

It's not the service we like to emphasize — our goal has always been keeping trees healthy. But when a tree is dead, dangerous, or past saving, we take it down professionally and safely, grind the stump, and haul every log. Storm damage and hazard correction included.

Step 4 — Protect what stays

The plan doesn't end when the saws are packed. Deep root fertilization, winter watering, and pest protection — including Emerald Ash Borer treatment for ash and lilac, and pesticide application for spruce and pine — keep the trees you're keeping healthy year-round.

Step 5 — Return

The plan comes back next year.

Trees live on long calendars, and so do we. Customers put us on theirs — for the next trim, the next season of watering, the next storm. That's what long-term care means: the same arborist, year after year, watching the same trees grow.
